In order to sign-up for CRA direct deposits through online banking, you must meet the following criteria:

• Have a chequing account

• Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) and date of birth on file with Oshawa Community Credit Union

• Have previously filed at least one income tax return with CRA 

You can receive the following CRA payments through direct deposit: 

• Income tax refund

• Goods and services tax/harmonized sales tax credit and any similar provincial and territorial payments (GST/HST)

• Ontario trillium benefit (OTB)

• Canada child benefit and any similar provincial and territorial payments (CCB)

• Canada workers benefit (CWB)

• Deemed overpayment of tax

• The new Canada Emergency Response Benefit ​

1. Log into Online Banking 

2. Select Account Services 

3. Select Set Up CRA Direct Deposit 

4. Follow the prompts to enter and review your personal and account information 

5. Hit submit 

6. Verify your MY CRA Account within 2 business days to make sure the information has gone through and is accurate ​
