NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING OF MEMBERS OSHAWA COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION LTD

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the annual meeting of members of the Oshawa Community Credit Union Ltd. will be held on the main floor of the office located at 214 King Street East, Oshawa, or electronically via Google Meets or phone, on Tuesday, the 16th day of April, 2024, at 7:00 p.m.  We are requesting that members pre-register by contacting Sarah Broderick at sarahb@oshawacu.com or 905-436-5425.  Please indicate if you will be attending in-person or sign up electronically here.

Each member of the Credit Union aged eighteen and above, who complies fully with all requirements of the membership, including the minimum share requirements, will be assigned one vote at a membership meeting. Each member who meets the above criteria will be notified of, and be encouraged to participate in, all membership meetings.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide to the members the Annual Report to the Membership, the Auditors, and the Audit Committee, to conduct Board elections (three positions to be elected to a five year term), to appoint the Credit Union’s auditor, and to conduct such other business as may properly come before the meeting.

Notice of By-Law change: by special resolution the repeal and replacement of the Credit Union General By-Law.

Copies of the Annual General Report to Members, including the audited financial statements, the Auditor’s Report, the Audit Committee Report,  and the new By-Law will be available to members at the offices of the Credit Union and on the Credit Union’s website 10 days prior to the scheduled meeting date.

Board of Director Elections

Elections to serve as a Director on Oshawa Community’s Board of Directors will be held at the Annual General Meeting. This year there are three director positions available to each serve a 3-year term. The Nominating Committee received three applications, all incumbents. The nominees are Dorothy Watson, Kim Bulloch and Roy Vanderkwaak. To learn more about these candidates, read their bios below.
