I opened an account here when I was starting up my business.

The location was really convenient being so close to my work and since I work such long hours I can come over and get things done quickly when I don’t have a lot of time.

It was my first time taking on this sort of venture, and being in my early twenties at the time, not many financial institutions were willing to take a risk on me. I already had a fair bit of savings that I used to get the space, equipment and furniture that I needed. The credit union was approachable and they had patience and understanding. They took the time to listen and answer my questions. They showed me that there is a solution to every problem and they make me feel important - which is a philosophy I share with my own clients.

It has been an amazing experience and the credit union has been there for me. The staff here is great, they’re like family to me. Many of the staff and even some of the other members are now my clients. Today I’ve doubled my clientele and the size of my salon. I actually feel richer because I love what I do and I’m passionate about my job. That is the greatest reward for me.
